Hi 👋 I'm Caity, a qualified interior designer & decorator, and the person behind Caliya Design. Caliya was born in 2019 with a passion to create timeless interiors, but my creative spark has been there since I was little.
To put it simply, floor plans are my jam. Every renovation starts with the question - how can we best use this space? That's where I come in. Specialising in spatial design, I produce concepts that hold equal value in functionality and style.
My background focuses on kitchen and bathroom renovations/builds. While studying, I worked as one of the top 'In Store Kitchen Experts' in Australia for Bunnings (so I know how modular systems work). I promise, we can do so much better than modular - let's talk custom, and you'll be surprised at what I can save you ($$).

the name caliya
The word ‘caliya’ means beauty, originating from Greek. The Mediterranean is vibrant inspiration source, so it was only fitting to choose a business name that fit with those origins. Caliya is also a play on letters taken from my full name, Caity Clarkson.
I witnessed the beauty of the Mediterranean during my travels in 2017, where I experienced firsthand it's incredible architecture and design, particularly in the north mediterranean region of Morocco. My adoration of the region is subtly connected to the origin of the name.
