Caity founded Caliya Design in 2019 with a passion to create timeless, beautiful interiors that reflects client's individual lifestyles. She takes a mindful approach, considering the emotional response which colour, lighting, layouts, textures, and artwork has on our mental wellbeing.
Caliya Creative followed shortly after in 2020 as a hub for all other creative endeavours including artwork commissions and graphic design.
With a background in kitchen design, Caity is confident in taking and understanding measurements and how they translate into a design, as well as selecting colours and finishes that fit seamlessly together. Specialising in spatial design, Caity produces concepts which hold equal value in functionality and style. Aesthetics will never take precedence over practicality.
Currently working four days a week as a wedding coordinator in the Yarra Valley, Caity has a flexible schedule and can book consultations for any day of the week.

Caity is drawn to modern minimal design with a raw mediterranean influence.
Every client is unique and Caity will mindfully tailor her concepts to each individual project.
We are all constantly influenced by design trends. However, trends change. Your home should above all else be a collection of what you love and are inspired by.

the name caliya
The word ‘caliya’ means beauty, originating from Greek. The Mediterranean is vibrant inspiration source, so it was only fitting to choose a business name that fit with those origins. Caliya is also a play on letters taken from her full name, Caity Clarkson.
Caity witnessed the beauty of the Mediterranean during her travels in 2017, where she experienced firsthand it's incredible architecture and design, particularly in the north mediterranean region of Morocco.
